Rathbone Amateur Boxing Club are pleased to announce an initiative to keep young children active during lockdown.
Following a successful programme over the Christmas holidays the club are running free sessions for children during lockdown. Weekly sessions take place every Monday at 4:30pm for 5-11 year olds.
The project is provided by our volunteers so is completely free and everyone within the age range is welcome. Each session will be led by two England Boxing qualified coaches who are safeguarding trained and DBS checked. They will combine boxing technique, exercise and games for 40 minutes. No equipment is needed, however, please ensure the area used is clear and your child has a drink to hand.
Easter holiday sessions: there will be no session on Easter Monday, however we will be hosting sessions for two different age groups on alternate days that week. All sessions will be held at 2pm.
5-10 year olds: Tuesday 6th and Thursday 8th April
11-16 year olds: Wednesday 7th and Friday 9th April

"My son is absolutely loving it! I can't thank you enough for doing these classes. We're considering investing in a punching bag!"
"Eden has really been enjoying these classes. They run for a perfect amount of time so she can use a good amount of energy and have the most fun. She loves learning different moves and to be able to interact with the coaches and the rest of the group."
"We were apprehensive at first as to how zoom would work but the coaches work really hard to set up each element so my son who had no previous experience in boxing knew the basics after the first class. He loved it so much we did it everyday in half term!"
Sessions are FREE but donations are gratefully accepted.
