FIGHT FOR CLIMATE ACTION AT RATHBONE BOXING CLUB

Rathbone Boxing Club will host series of special fundraising events with proceeds going towards supporting international climate organisation 350.org in the fight against rising CO2 levels. Londoners can join the fight by enrolling in the KO2 boxing classes on Thurs 19 September or by trying out the KO2 “Climb The Shard” challenge from Fri 20 – Fri 27 September.
 
Climate campaigners 350.org are coordinating a number of global activations between 20-27 September, that are set to become the largest mobilisation for climate action in the world.  Rathbone Boxing Club joins the fight from Thursday 19 September with its own series of events. Londoners can support the campaign for a more sustainable future in two ways:

KO2 CLIMATE TALK WITH UCL PROF. MARK MASLIN
Join world renowned Professor and researcher in climate change science, Mark Maslin, for an evening talking the climate crisis and an introduction to boxing skills with our club's professional coaches. Mark will introduce the issues and some solutions to the climate crisis, while our coaches get you pumped up to take action. 6pm - 7:15pm, Tuesday 10th September. Speech begins at 6pm so please try to arrive 10 minutes early. *Free entry*, no booking required
 
KO2 BOXING CLASS 
A medley of three of the club’s signature classes (Technique, Cornerman and Strength & Conditioning) that is suitable for all levels. This one-hour class will run on Thurs 19 September at 11am, 12pm and 1pm. Priced at £30 including special KO2 collection hand wraps
 
KO2 “CLIMB THE SHARD” CHALLENGE 
The male and female who achieve the shortest time in this combined challenge will be declared winners, each receiving a free PT session with the club’s Head Coach, Greg White. Entries are £5 per try. The challenge runs from 7am – 9pm  weekdays and 8am - 5pm on weekends between Fri 20 – Fri 27 September on a walk-in basis and includes: Climb The Shard (310 meters) on the VersaClimber, 20 medicine ball slams, 20 burpees
