Maverick Stars - Female Project

Thanks to funding from Maverick Stars Trust we are delivering a series of events to attract and retain females into the sport of Amateur Boxing. 

We will host a number of workshops, training sessions, introductory classes and sparring events, publicising each to inspire the next generation of female boxers while providing a pathway for them to continue to box and opportunities for them to develop and progress in the sport.

One of our events, a female sparring day, saw boxers attend from as far as Jersey and the Netherlands. The day was covered by Sky Sports and attended by World Champion Mikaela Mayer. We have also hosted workshops on strength and conditioning, mobility and mindset. Our next event is a boxing session and Q & A hosted by former Commonwealth Champion Lisa Whiteside, date to be confirmed.
